During your stay in Assisted Living, please direct any transportation needs to the Assisted Living Nurse by calling (203) 544-1000, ext. 502. She will, in turn, schedule transportation on the appropriate day and relay the information to Transportation. In this way, all pertinent parties are appropriately informed to ensure a smooth transition. Please do not call the Transportation department directly.
All medical appointments are to be scheduled Monday-Friday, between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:00 pm, to include travel time.
Please note that in the interest of your safety if you need assistance, a family member or private duty aide must accompany you to and from Meadow Ridge. Additionally, each location must have an ADA approved wheelchair accessible entrance. It is the responsibility of the family member or the aide to bring the resident into the facility. Our drivers are responsible for door to door transportation only. This is a safety factor to ensure the driver does not leave the vehicle as per policy.
All departures and arrivals will be from the Health Center Lobby.
The final departure time is determined the day before and will be communicated to the nursing supervisor and to dietary personnel.
We do our best to ensure minimal wait time for pick-ups; however, the daily schedule is driven by resident needs across the continuum. There are often add-on appointments and delays. Please be patient your driver will make every effort to make sure you arrive at your appointments on time.
