Matt Garnett - Director of Food & Beverage
Matt joined the Trillium Woods team in June 2015. Matt has over 12 years of experience in the Food and Beverage industry, spending the last 2 years as the Food and Beverage Manager at a private country club in the Twin Cities. Prior to that, Matt was the General Manager of an upscale bar and restaurant in Queensland, Australia. Matt’s focus here at Trillium Woods is providing excellent food and service to residents, with a particular emphasis on the finer details of hospitality. His educational background includes an Arts/Education Bachelor’s Degree from Southern Cross University in Australia, an Associate Hospitality Degree, and a Sommelier qualification from The Court of Master Sommeliers.
Jon Nolden - Executive Chef
Jon Nolden is the Executive Chef of Trillium Woods. He joined Trillium Woods in April of 2015. Jon has been in the food hospitality business, serving in a leadership role representing the private golf club industry and health care institution as Executive Chef/Manager. His passion for food presentation is about big bold flavors and features local sustainable foods during the various seasons of the year. Jon has a Culinary Degree from Hennepin Technical College ~ Eden Prairie, Minnesota, and is Food Management Certified for food safety ~ State of Minnesota.
Devin Weinzierl – Food & Beverage Service Manager
Devin Weinzierl joined the team in May of 2018 as the Food & Beverage Service Manager for the Independent Living. Devin joined us with over 8 years' experience within resorts & private golf clubs, & graduated with a degree in Hospitality & Tourism Management from NDSU. Devin's role is to oversee and manage all front of house Independent Living operations, including the Main Dining Room, Bar & Cafe. Devin is responsible for the recruitment and ongoing training of all our wonderful service associates.
Toni Swanson ~ Registered Dietitian
The Birches Health Center
Toni joined the Trillium Woods team in April 2016 as the Registered Dietitian Nutritionist for the Birches Health Center. She has a passion for delivering nutritious meals while educating individuals on health and nutrition. Toni has three years’ experience in long term care and spent them all in Houston, Texas. Toni’s focus at Trillium Woods is to ensure that all residents are receiving adequate nutrition by completing individualized nutrition assessments. She is also in charge of ensuring that the dietary department is serving nutritious meals while remaining in compliance with state and federal regulations. Her educational background includes a Dietetics Bachelor’s Degree from North Dakota State University.
Kaitlyn McArdle – Food Service Manager
The Birches Health Center
Kaitlyn McArdle joined the team in May of 2017 as the Food Service Manager for the Birches Health Center. She has been working in the Senior Living industry for the last 7 years as a Dining Services Supervisor and Dining Manager, and has experience working in Independent Living, Assisted Living and Dementia Care. Kaitlyn has a passion for cooking and culinary management and her focus is to help bring an incredible Hospitality experience into The Birches. She is in charge of educating and ensuring that the dietary department is serving nutritious meals while remaining in compliance with the state and federal regulations. Her background includes a Culinary Arts Degree from Saint Paul College in Saint Paul Minnesota and is Food Management Certified for food safety.
